KENNEDY HIGH HOSTS THE BHEL CLUSTER BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT

KENNEDY HIGH the global school was honoured to host the BHEL cluster Basketball tournament for under 14 girls and for under 14 boys on 16 November 2022 and 17 November 2022 in the school premises. In all, 13 teams of girls and 13 teams of boys participated from 13 schools with great enthusiasm and energy. 

Chairman, Sri. S. Jamala Reddy inaugurated the event and shared wise words on the importance of sports and games to develop one’s personality, leading to holistic development of mind, body and spirit. After that he declared the tournament open.

Principal Ms. Rajyalaxmi Bhat also addressed the players and shed light on the significance of sportsmanship and team spirit. She said being physically fit and mentally strong is essential for any sport and children must eat healthy, rest adequately and be disciplined to succeed not only in a competition but in life as well. She wished all the teams best of luck. Later on, she watched the semi- finals and encouraged the players from both the playing teams.

The girls team and the boys team from both KENNEDY HIGH the global school and Silver Oaks international school qualified for the finals and played a tough game which was exhilarating to witness.

The boys team from KENNEDY HIGH bagged the winner’s trophy with a thumping win, while Silver Oaks International school won the first runners up award and the third position was taken by Manthan international school.

While the girls team from KENNEDY HIGH took the first runners-up award, the girls team from Silver Oaks International school became the champions and took home the first prize and the third place went to Jyothi Vidyala High School girls team.

The best player trophy for boys was won by Master Arayansh of KENNEDY HIGH the global school and the best player trophy for girls was awarded to Miss. Sidhangana of Silver Oaks International School.

The valedictory ceremony was presided over by Chairman, Sri. S. Jamala Reddy and Principal Ms. Rajyalaxmi Bhat. The winning teams and the officials were felicitated by Chairman Sri. S. Jamala Reddy.
