INTERACTION OF STUDENTS WITH GALLANTRY AWARD WINNER FOR CBSE VEEER GATHA PROJECT

The Ministry of Defence (MoD) joined hands with CBSE to create awareness among the school students about the details of acts of bravery and the life stories of the brave- hearts who have been awarded Gallantry Awards.  

 Students of KENNEDY HIGH the global school participated in projects/activities based on gallantry award winners.

As a part of this initiative, it was suggested by CBSE that students have a face to face interaction with one such Gallantry award winner.

Gallantry award Sewa Medal winner Colonel Purohit Gopalraj graciously accepted the invitation from KENNEDY HIGH the global school to visit the school for an interaction with the students on 7 November 2022. Principal Ms. Rajyalaxmi Bhat welcomed him to the session.

Colonel Purohit Gopalraj was awarded the Sewa Medal for his exemplary dedication and gallant actions to neutralize terrorists in counter insurgency operations in Kashmir sector.

He shared his experiences and talked about life in the Army, inspiring the students aspiring to join the defence services. His Power point presentation comprising of memorable moments from the life of Defence personnel from the mundane and routine to the risky and unexpected, filled the students with admiration, awe and respect for the soldiers who are always ready to sacrifice their lives for the country.

All in all, it was an exhilarating, exciting and motivational session for the students. They expressed their gratitude and appreciation by giving Colonel Purohit a standing ovation and a grand salute.

Principal Ms. Rajyalaxmi Bhat presented a Memento to him, on behalf of the management, as a mark of respect.
