Mission Green Schools Initiative on 16 August 2018 was an excellent platform to engage students in the geographical, scientific, and botanical aspects of the native plants. The research brought about various learning experiences for the children. The saplings were planted in and around the school premises. A very valuable part of this plantation exercise was the process of reflecting each plant’s quality with the martyrs that it represented. Students displayed keen critical thinking skills while naming each plant to its suitable personality. Overall, the ‘Tarave Namaha’ project was a beautiful amalgamation of positive values and proactive action towards appreciating and preserving the environment. The ‘Prakriti Mahotsav’ was a step towards recognizing and appreciating the native species of flora around the region of Telangana.
