To achieve improvement in the status of nutrition of children, KENNEDY HIGH joined the Poshan Abhiyaan by observing Poshan Maah in the month of December, as per CBSE directives.
Students took the Poshan pledge to eat only healthy food and take care of their nutrition. They also understood what kind of fruits, vegetables and legumes they should eat to avoid malnutrition. They promised to say “no” to junk food and maintain hand hygiene for good health.
Students of class IV and above were educated about anaemia, the side effects of anaemia and how to protect oneself from it. Discussions led by Science teachers brought awareness in the children. A total of 1549 students and 71 teachers participated in this event.
