KENNEDY HIGH PARTICIPATES IN SAVE WETLANDS CAMPAIGN 2025

To create mass awareness about the importance of Wetlands conservation and management, the Wetlands division of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate change, Government of India initiated the “Save Wetlands” Campaign in January.

The students of KENNEDY HIGH took part in this campaign whole- heartedly.

The Wetland-Mitra-Pledge was administered to 549 students of middle school in the school assembly by Principal Ms. Rajyalaxmi Bhat, on 8 January 2025. Before administering the pledge, she introduced the students to the topic by talking about the importance of wetlands and their role in the ecosystem and maintaining biodiversity. She also shared information about Ramsar Sites in India and urged the students to do their part to conserve the Wetlands by raising awareness.

A Nukkad Natak was prepared by the Hindi department on the given theme and was performed enthusiastically by a group of 12 students from class IX, on 9 January 2025.

A painting competition was organized for students of class VIII, on the theme “PROTECTING WETLANDS FOR OUR COMMON FUTURE”, on 10 January 2025 during school hours. A total of 35 students participated in the same.
