MUN 2026 CONDUCTED AT KENNEDY HIGH -FINDING COMMON GROUND IN A DIVIDED WORLD

KENNEDY HIGH the global school successfully conducted KENNEDY HIGH GLOBAL SCHOOL MODEL UNITED NATIONS (KHGSMUN) 2026 on 18 August 2026 within the school campus. The Model United Nations conference provided an enriching platform for students from Classes IX to XII (CBSE) and Grades 9 to AS Level (CIE) to experience the functioning of the United Nations and engage with contemporary global issues.

The conference comprised four committees: UNGA, UNSC, UNESCO, and UNHRC. Around 140 Kennedy students had the opportunity to participate as delegates, researchers, and committee members. The committees deliberated on significant and relevant global issues.

KHGSMUN 2026 went beyond being an academic activity, it was a valuable learning experience that encouraged students to understand global affairs from diverse perspectives. Through debates, moderated sessions, negotiations and resolution drafting, students developed communication skills, honed their public speaking ability, brought their critical thinking to the fore while sharpening their research, negotiation and problem-solving skills.

KHGSMUN helped students become more confident and articulate while teaching them the importance of active listening, teamwork, diplomacy, empathy and respectful disagreement. It encouraged them to analyse complex issues, formulate logical arguments and work collaboratively towards practical solutions.

Most importantly, KHGSMUN created a platform for students to move beyond textbooks and become informed, responsible and globally aware young citizens. The experience nurtured leadership qualities, encouraged independent thinking and strengthened their ability to engage constructively with issues affecting society and the world.
