Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) is a nation-wide event, which was introduced by the Government of India. Schools all over the country organize large-scale activities on 31 October every year as an annual commemoration of the birthday of the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, one of the founding leaders of Republic of India. Pledge and oath taking, debates, discussions, and essay writing provided the students the necessary platform to engage prolifically on the life and work of this illustrious leader. A special Unity rally brought the sense of togetherness to the forefront.
