Students of Class III had a wonderful learning experience at the Botanical Garden, Kothaguda, Hyderabad, on November 20,2025. The journey started with a lot of excitement. The Botanical Garden was full of a variety of trees, herbal plants, flowering plants and creepers which were a feast for the eyes.

The students walked around the enclosures and were fascinated by the display of a variety of cactus, plants with their botanical names displayed on boards, mentioning their health benefits. Students also caught glimpses of peacocks, a small lake and huge animal sculptures.

They learnt that plants are classified into families based on similar properties and features. They admired the aesthetic value of plants that not only makes our homes and environment look immaculate but also makes our planet look green and beautiful compared to the rest of the planets. They understood the importance of plants for mankind.

A visit to the Botanical Garden showcased the efforts made to revive and sustain a green planet. The trip was not only educational but also gave the students a chance to demonstrate values such as responsibility, cooperation, tolerance, concern for others, sharing, etc. The students played games in the well-levelled green area.

The trip ended with students enjoying their lunch sitting in a circle in groups in the lap of nature. It was truly a day filled with discovery, wonder, and a deep connection with nature!
