On 9 January 2026, students of Classes VI and VII/grades 6 & 77 visited the second edition of Udyan Utsav at Rashtrapati Nilayam, Secunderabad. This educational field trip offered a unique fusion of historical heritage and environmental science.
The young learners explored the 90-acre retreat, marveling at the Botanical Gardens, the intricate Maze Garden, and the sustainable Nakshatra Vatika. At the Green Knowledge Hub, students engaged in interactive sessions on biodiversity, while the Millet Mandi provided insights into traditional Indian agriculture and nutrition.
The visit also served as a deep dive into history. Students walked through the Kitchen Tunnel, decorated with vibrant Cheriyal art, and visited the Knowledge Gallery to learn about the legacy of India’s Presidents.
This visit to the President’s southern residence successfully transformed textbooks into reality, fostering a sense of civic pride and ecological responsibility. It was a memorable journey into India's cultural and natural wealth.
