Swachhata and COVID awareness messages and banners on Swachhata Pakhwada were posted on the school website.

She enlightened the students about the importance of keeping the environment green and clean, along with maintaining personal hygiene. Swachhata and COVID awareness messages and banners on Swachhata Pakhwada were posted on the school website.
Day 2 of Swachhata Pakhwada saw KENNEDY HIGH the global school teachers inspecting sanitary facilities in each and every corner of school and ensuring that upkeep of the facilities is maintained through proper
planning.
Hand wash facility, daily cleaning and disinfection, toilet/urinal use, water facility use, ventilation, waste management and other COVID-19 related issues were discussed with the local representatives. Extensive cleaning and disinfection of toilets, kitchen, classrooms, fans, doors, and windows was done. Clearing bushes in the campus was also undertaken, while adhering to COVID-19 prevention measures. Old office files were weeded out and office rooms cleaned. All kinds of waste material, broken furniture, unusable equipment, etc. were completely removed from the premises of schools/institutions.
The programme on 3 & 4 September extended to the community when senior students took out a rally on clean environment, along with the teachers to bring awareness among the masses.
The student council took this opportunity to educate the non-teaching staff, with special attention to Ayammas regarding significance of cleanliness, health and hygiene and Covid appropriate behaviour.
On day 5 of Swachhata Pakhwada, the students were shown a Power Point Presentation in order to promote water conservation. The students were informed about the reasons as to why it is the duty of every human being to use water judiciously and conserve water. The students were told about the various methods to conserve water in the school premises, home and other places too.
Students created slogans and posters on themes such as fighting Corona through Covid Appropriate Behaviour and vaccination, and class discussion was held on eliminating single use plastic.
Painting and slogan writing competition was held on 6 and 7 September on themes related to Swachhata and Covid appropriate behaviour. Children enjoyed the experience and showcased their creative talent through this activity.
Teachers taught the students proper method and steps of hand washing with soap before and after eating, as well as before and after using the washroom.
The students were also informed about water borne diseases/diseases and the importance of safe handling of drinking water so that they practice proper hand and oral hygiene.
A Power point Presentation was shown to the students to ensure that they learnt how to cut and keep nails clean, having daily bath with clean water, wearing clean clothes, not spitting in open, wearing shoes/slippers as well as how to wear mask correctly, hygiene, not sharing personal items with others, and maintaining social distancing where ever possible.
The paintings and slogans made by students on Swachhata/Covid appropriate behaviour was displayed on the school’s website.
A meeting of School Council was called, specially to discuss the Swachhata Pakhwada activities in the school. The Council members gave suggestions as to what new activities can be included under Swachhata Pakhwada.
Prize distribution ceremony for the winners of the competitions on Swachhata Pakhwada was held in the school, to felicitate the students who won.
