Sankranti Celebration:
Makar Sankranti, a day of festivity with colours of merriment was celebrated at KENNEDY HIGH the global school, with pomp and joy by the students on 12 January 2023.
The festival of harvest was welcomed to bring the joyous yield of fortune. The students smiled and shown proudly in their traditional wear.
The event began with a soulful rendition of prayer, followed by the colourful songs and dances that captured the essence of Indian culture.
The harvest festival was introduced to children through a story which highlighted the significance of the festival. The significance of 3 days of Sankranti was explained in detail. Importance of Bhogimantalu, Bhogipallu, Haridasu, Gangireddulu, Pindivantalu, Bommala Koluvu & Kite Flying were also highlighted.
A variety of activities like Rangoli and kite making were organised to provide a wonderful platform for the students to explore their creativity.
Chairman, Shri S.J.Reddy, in his speech wished for the good health and happiness of all. The harvest festival made the young minds express their gratitude to farmers who never stop working on the fields even during these hard times.
Principal, Mrs. Rajyalaxmi Bhat appreciated the active participation and amazing display of talent by the students.
