According to CBSE directives, KENNEDY HIGH the global school, celebrated Bharatiya Bhasha Utsav for 11 weeks under the theme ‘भाषाएँ अनेक, भाव एक’ (Bhashayen Anek, Bhav Ek), which promoted language learning through the use of regional languages and technology. During the 11 weeks various themes were explored.
Students from class VI to IX raised awareness about protecting the environment by singing songs in multiple regional languages. The performances were mesmerizing and gave students a taste of different cultures and regions.
Students from different classes participated in language games, brain teasers, and puzzles in Telugu and Hindi. Moral stories were read to Class II and III students in Hindi and Telugu, while Class VI to VIII students wrote 50 sentences in different regional languages.
The primary students identified fruit and vegetable names in other Indian languages, wrote them on a chart, and shared them with their classmates. The students from classes VI to VIII shared about various recipes from their culture with their class.
The students of classes VI, VII, and VIII were shown a PowerPoint presentation about the historical places and tourist attractions in Hyderabad. They learned to write the names of these places in different Indian languages.
The students participated in a slogan writing competition on the topic 'My School'. They expressed themselves creatively in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Bengali, Odia, and Urdu.
The students learnt important values through Telugu and Hindi skits and nukkad natak about being proud of one's mother tongue.
The students learnt numbers and tables in Malayalam, Hindi, and Telugu, emphasizing the importance of mathematics and numeracy in different languages.
The students performed folk dances to showcase their culture and tradition, dancing to songs from various Indian languages. The performances made everyone feel proud of their Indian roots and inspired them to celebrate their culture.
The students shared their thoughts and ideas about preparation for Annual Day in their mother tongue, learning the importance of preserving it as a means of communication.
The students shared some commonly used sentences in their mother tongues with their classmates.
Students watched a short video on the life of the Tamil poet, Shri Subramania Bharathi, and learnt about his contribution to Tamil culture, language, and the independence struggle.
