As part of the career guidance program and career awareness session, students of class X appeared for TAMANNA APTITUDE TESTS in October 2023.
The second phase of the guidance program was held on 5th and 6th January 2024 wherein one to one interaction was held. This helped guide the students on how to select the streams and subject choices considering interests, strengths, preferences and motivation.
The session encompassed available academic routes, subject choices, streams and careers, insight about linear and non -linear paths of career development, early planning and identifying motivators and purpose of life to build career, mindfulness and meditation practices for identifying the higher purpose of life as part of daily practice, Self- discovery and self- exploration as a part of career exploration, career exploration stages and researching, identifying influences on career choices, making realistic career choices based on personality, interests and aptitudes and upcoming new careers and trends
The students were also counselled to try choosing careers which connect with sustainable development goals (SDG) and balance individual preferences with community contribution to enhance global values. The session highlighted some upcoming new age careers like environmental lawyer, climatologist, ecologist and sustainable architect, aligning with SDG to find solutions to real world problems.
The sessions ended with an interactive question answer round.
