KENNEDY HIGH CELEBRATES 10th INTERNATIONAL DAY OF YOGA

On 21 June 2024, KENNEDY HIGH the global school came together to celebrate International Day of Yoga, on the theme "Yoga for Self and Society."
A special assembly was organized, wherein the Academic Director and Principal Ms. Rajyalaxmi Bhat administered the yoga pledge to all present. She also spoke about different yogasanas and their benefits for the overall well-being.
Students of class VIII/grade 8 rendered a mellifluous song on yoga while students of class V/grade 5 presented a wonderful dance based on yoga postures, completely captivating the audience.
A variety of asanas including Suryanamaskara, Padmasana, Bhujangasana, Trikonasana, Tadasana and Naukasana were performed by the students under the direction and supervision of their yoga instructor.
Later, the teachers, along with the Academic Director and Principal, Ms Rajyalaxmi Bhat, also performed some asanas for around 30 minutes.
In the afternoon, a quiz and essay writing competition was held for students.
It was a day well spent in the pursuit of mental and physical fitness.
