VAN MAHOTSAV CELEBRATION

KENNEDY HIGH the global school celebrated Van Mahotsav with great zeal and enthusiasm on5 July 2024. The event was graced by the President, Shri. B. Subba Reddy, the Managing Director, Shri Krupakar Reddy and the Academic Director and Principal, Ms. Rajyalaxmi Bhat. The objective was to raise environmental awareness and highlight the significance of tree plantation and forest conservation.
President, Shri. B. Subba Reddy inspired the students with a call to action, advising them to plant trees and protect the environment for future generations. The Academic Director and Principal, Ms. Rajyalaxmi Bhat delivered an impactful speech, highlighting the significance of trees and the crucial role they play in maintaining ecological balance.
The day commenced with a melodious song by Class IV and Grade 4 students, beautifully capturing the essence of Van Mahotsav. It was followed by a lovely dance performance by the students of Class III and Grade 3. Finally, students of Class V and Grade 5 implanted the seeds of nature conservation through their soulful poetry recitation.
The much-awaited sapling plantation program took place with the President, the Managing Director, the Academic Director and Principal, along with the coordinators, planting the first saplings with the little children, showcasing their commitment to environmental preservation. Students and teachers actively joined the plantation drive.
A notable highlight of the Van Mahotsav celebrations was a spirited rally organized by Class III & Grade 3 students within the school campus. They passionately conveyed messages of awareness through slogans, stressing the urgency of tree conservation and promoting environmental stewardship among their peers.
The celebration successfully emphasised the importance of tree plantation and forest conservation, effectively demonstrating the school’s dedication to creating environmentally conscious citizens. It instilled in them a sense of responsibility towards nurturing a greener, more sustainable future, reflecting the school's dedication to holistic education and environmental leadership.
