The workshop, led by Principal, KENNEDY HIGH the global school, Ms. Rajalaxmi Bhat, was a significant step towards aligning teaching methods with the vision of NEP 2020.
A day long workshop was conducted on 7 June 2024, by Ms. Rajyalaxmi Bhat, Principal of KENNEDY HIGH the global school, focusing on the key areas and aspects of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.The workshop was aimed to equip teachers with a thorough understanding of NEP 2020 and to familiarize teachers with the key aspects and implications of NEP 2020. 60 teachers attended this workshop.
In her session, Ms. Rajyalaxmi Bhat provided a comprehensive overview of the National Education Policy 2020, emphasizing its focus on holistic, learner-centred education. She spoke about the Key changes introduced by NEP 2020, such as the Bal Vatika concept, 5+3+3+4 curricular structure, flexibility in subject choices, and the integration of vocational education.
The policy's emphasis on foundational literacy and numeracy, critical thinking, and creativity was highlighted.
