EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING - IN-HOUSE WORKSHOP FOR CBSE TEACHERS AT KENNEDY

A workshop was conducted on 8 June 2024, by Ms. Rajyalaxmi Bhat, Principal of KENNEDY HIGH the global school, for the teaching staff on Experiential learning and teaching methods. The workshop conducted aimed at enable teachers to introduce innovative teaching strategies which enhance student engagement and learning outcomes. The main objective of the workshop was to explore the principles and practices of experiential learning, and to provide hands-on experience with new teaching methodologies.
Ms. Rajyalaxmi Bhat elaborated on the concept of experiential learning, which emphasizes learning through experience and reflection. The workshop covered various experiential learning techniques, including project-based learning, field trips, simulations, and role-playing. The importance of creating real-world connections and fostering a hands-on learning environment was stressed.
Teachers participated in interactive sessions where they engaged in group discussions and activities designed to illustrate experiential learning principles. Case studies and examples from successful implementation of experiential learning from other schools were shared. Teachers were encouraged to brainstorm and develop lesson plans incorporating experiential learning methods.
