In the month of September 2024, the main theme was Self-Management, the second component of Socio Emotional Learning and the sub-themes were self-compassion and emotional regulation.
Class II
Class II students learnt about self-compassion through the story 'Be with Gratitude'. This engaging activity helped them develop essential life skills, including self-management and expressing compassion in different situations.
Class III
Class III students explored the concept of self-compassion through engaging activities. A read aloud video of the story 'The Thankful Tree' was shown to the students. This helped them understand and appreciate the importance of treating themselves with kindness and compassion.
Class IV
Through the 'Letters to a Compassionate Friend' activity, the students practiced empathy by writing heartfelt letters to someone in need of kindness. This meaningful activity taught them the value of compassion and the impact of small acts of kindness on others.
Class V
The students learnt valuable lessons on self-compassion through the story 'Max and the Magic Mirror'. They understood the importance of self-acceptance and that true happiness begins within oneself.
