Vanmahotsav was celebrated in the school premises on 9 July 2019. The event started off by welcoming the distinguished dignitaries. Chairman Sir’s speech threw light on the greater purpose of Vanmahotsav and the reason why it is a must to spread greenery. He emphasized that every tree that is planted is a meaningful gift for the future generations, because trees a prevent soil erosion and fight climate change. He added that this is one of the most in expensive and easy way to fight global warming and save our planet. Students were advised how to break through the inevitable loss of green cover. This was followed by a dance performance portraying the grace of greenery by the student of grade 7 and 8 CAIE.
The social service vice-captain’s speech highlighted the promotion of safety of environment and bring awareness of this initiative. It was followed by Role play, beautifully portraying the importance of trees in our lives by the students of class VIII CBSE.
The Chairman of our school as well as Principal were invited to plant saplings in the premises. Student were taken to Bachupally cross roads. There they distributed around 350 saplings to people free of cost as a part of the awareness programme. All the students actively participated in the programme. The youngsters explained the importance of this move. This programme has indeed played a major role in making the students understand the value of becoming a better global citizen.
