TEACHERS FROM KENNEDY HIGH ATTEND CBSE C B P ON SOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING (SEL 06-06-206)
A Capacity building programme on the topic,“Social emotional learning,”was conducted at KENNEDY HIGH on 6 June 2026. 60 CBSE teachers attended this workshop.
The sessions were conducted by Dr. Revathy Dasan and Ms. Anjali Mohanty, and effectively highlighted how SEL can be integrated with all subjects through active engagement in the classroom. The session helped the teachers to understand the importance of emotional and social development along with academics to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
All teachers participated in different activities and strategies were shared to improve the 5 components of SEL- Self-awareness, Self- management, Social awareness, Relationship skills, Responsible decision making among students. The trainers used simple activities, role-plays, showed some videos, ppts and real classroom examples.
The session was informative, interactive and useful. It provided practical ideas that can help teachers support the overall well- being and holistic development of students.
