Students of KENNEDY HIGH the global school took part in the Green Schools Seminar as part of the Green Building Congress, 2018, conducted at Hyderabad International Convention Center, on November 3, 2018. The theme of the Seminar was “Green Built Environment for People and the Planet.” Udita Gowdety, Pranati Tandon, and Adwitiya Paul, represented the school in this prestigious event. This seminar was an excellent opportunity for students to learn innovative practices and solutions to design environmentally friendly urban spaces, whether at school or in their neighborhood. The presentations focused on various state-of-the art as well as household items that could be utilized to create affable harmony with nature, reduce our carbon footprint, and protect our planet. A distinctive session of the program was an interactive session with luminaries Ms. Leela Samson, Padma Shri and Dronacharya Award recipient Mr. S.M. Arif, distinguished architect and Design Consultant Mr. Srinivas Murthy G, and former pilot turned Social Entrepreneur, Mr. Pratap Rao. The seminar on the whole, had a far-reaching impact, and proved to be a very memorable learning experience for students and teachers alike.
