PEER EDUCATION- PLANNING FOR THE NEW ACADEMIC SESSION

 An interactive session was held for the students who were selected from class VIII AND IX for Peer Education programme. There was an air of excitement and enthusiasm as the students gathered together for their orientation for the next phase of their journey. Each Peer educator spoke for 2 minutes about Bullying in schools and shared their thoughts with each other.

Based on pre-decided rubrics, the teacher mentors evaluated the performance of the students. Then, they were divided into 5 different groups. 

Each group consisted of two members from class VIII and three from class IX. The teams were given a topic which they would be discussing with their peers in the text academic session. They were asked to chalk out a plan on the process of delivery and how they are going to engage the audience. A good exchange of ideas took place and it was fascinating the note the different ways the teams worked.

The teams dispersed with a spring in their steps and smiles on their faces, eager to take on their new leadership roles with a purpose.
