PLANTING SEEDS OF JOY
On August 9, 2023, KENNEDY HIGH the global school organized a kitchen gardening activity for the enthusiastic students of Class V and Grade 5. The students sowed a variety of seeds such as chili, coriander, pea, and soya beans carefully. Additionally, they planted curry leaf, banana plant pups, onions, carrots, and beetroots and asked innumerable questions. During the activity, students observed the preparation of soil beds and worked together in teams to sow seeds in organized rows. This hands-on experience provided valuable insights into the requirements for plant growth, different plant parts, and their significance in our lives. The activity fostered a strong connection between the children and nature, refreshed their mood, gave them an opportunity to be outside the classroom and engage in moderate physical exercise while teaching them patience, responsibility and organizational skills.
