OFF TO THE MARKET WE GO

A trip is one of the best tools that teachers can use to provide every student with real-world experience. To experience this, ‘visit to a market’ was planned for students of class I, in the school premises on 30 September 2023.
The make-believe market place which was set up, was replete with different kinds of vegetables, fruits and groceries and there were shopkeepers and other buyers.
The students were urged to follow rules of the place they visit, which inculcated in them values of discipline, respect and appreciation towards people who work at different places. It was fascinating to see the students learn the basics of shopping and communication in a public setting.
The children had an exciting time while learning important aspects of social interaction and the functioning of a market. It was an enriching experience for the young learners.
