Mental Health Week observed at KENNEDY HIGH the global school
KENNEDY HIGH the global school students observed the Mental Health Week from 4 October 2023 to 10 October 2023 as per CBSE directives.
Students participated in various art-integrated activities during their Socio-emotional Learning as a Life Skill (SELSK) classes. The students from class II to class XII were engaged in activities like meditation, breathing exercises, relaxing yoga postures, performing a puppet show, playing mental health bingo, drawing a comic strip, singing, dancing, discussing emotions, drawing what makes them feel happy or sad, making a collage of emotions, nature walk, etc.
Through these activities, they learnt how to take care of their mental health along with supporting each other and being compassionate towards one another. The activities also provided a platform for them to express their emotions in a healthy way and form positive connections with each other.
The senior students participated in a rally to spread awareness on Mental Health and Well-being. The Socio-emotional Learning as a Life Skill team of teachers actively supported the students in celebrating and embracing oneself.
Thus, the observance of Mental Health Week successfully provided the students with an opportunity to improve their mental and emotional well-being.
