Pre Primary:
1. Story Telling Session Pre-primary children were involved in a story telling session, held on 23rd July. 210 children participated in narrating and listening to two stories, "Three Little Pigs" and "The Wise Turtle", along with props. Flashcards on jungle themes and animals were used to create interest in the stories. Storytelling increases children’s willingness to communicate thoughts and feelings, it encourages active participation, cooperation between students and use of imagination in creativity along with enhancing listening skills.
2.Math Club
Pre-primary children actively participated in math club activity held on 23rd July.
Using snakes and ladder game, children understood the concept of forward and backward counting. Counting helps children to gain knowledge about the order of numbers, comparison of numbers and enhances memory while focusing on mental agility.
3. All 16 Pre-primary teachers took pledge on Nipun Anthem. They were also actively involved in an interactive session aimed at gaining knowledge on innovative, teaching methodologies and joyful learning.
Primary
As part of the Shiksha Saptah Day 2 program, KENNEDy HIGH the global school conducted various activities such as screening films on the objectives of FLN, taking pledges, conducting workshops for teachers, storytelling sessions using e-Jadui Pitara.These were aimed at raising awareness about the critical role of literacy and numeracy play in lifelong learning and and success.
Emphasizing the importance of literacy and numeracy through these celebrations helped to reinforce the foundational nature, ensuring that students and teachers prioritize these areas in early education.
45 Primary teachers took the NIPUN pledge, watched the two videos shared by CBSE and attended a workshop on FLN.
Methodology
The stories introduced used e-Jaadui Pitara, with a hook to capture students' interest and connect the story to the lesson's objectives and real-life applications.
