Engaging in self-defence allows individuals to effectively navigate hazardous situations and protect themselves from potential physical harm. This is particularly empowering for young girls, as it enables them to assert their rights and establish their boundaries, which is essential during their formative years of building independence and self-identity. Moreover, self-defence enhances mental resilience and situational awareness.
Keeping this in mind, KENNEDY HIGH held a week - long training session for the girl students of class VI-XII in the third week of December 2024, during school hours. The school intends to hold at least two such sessions in an academic year, to help empower girls.
