DISASTER MANAGEMENT AWARENESS CLASS

The Disaster Management course offered by CBSE aims to educate students about the concept of disasters, their causes, mitigation measures and aims to develop an awareness towards reducing the occurrence of disasters.

On 26 June 2024, KENNEDY HIGH the global school took the initiative and conducted classes for students of class VI-X about understanding of the environment, risks involved with disasters, and the need for preparedness and resilience. The DRR course focused on equipping students with the skills to develop emergency response plans, put together emergency supply kits, and conduct drills and simulations. Disasters have a strong impact on an individual's emotions, so the teaching-learning was directed towards coping mechanisms and approaches to face adversities. A total of 749 students and 14 teachers participated in this endeavour.
