KENNEDY HIGH – The Global School, as part of its ongoing Health and Wellness Program, conducts annual Menstrual Hygiene and Management (MHM) sessions for girls from Class VI onwards. These grade-wise interactive sessions aim to create awareness about puberty and promote a positive, informed approach to menstrual health. Conducted in a safe and supportive environment, the program covers physical, emotional, and social changes during adolescence. Students are encouraged to openly communicate with parents, teachers, and mentors to better understand this phase of growth.
The sessions address common myths and misconceptions, fostering a scientific and confident outlook while promoting body positivity, self-respect and self-care practices. Emphasis is placed on maintaining proper menstrual hygiene, using biodegradable sanitary products, and adopting safe disposal practices. Students are also guided to prepare emergency menstrual kits and understand the importance of nutrition, particularly iron- and protein-rich diets.
The school further supports students through well-maintained separate washrooms, availability of sanitary products in emergency at dispensary, and proper disposal facilities. Through this annual initiative, the school continues to empower students with knowledge, confidence, and responsible health practices.
