As part of KENNEDY HIGH the global school’s commitment to student wellbeing, teachers conducted Anti-Drug Awareness session on 15 July 2026, to educate students about the harmful effects of substance use and the importance of making healthy choices.

Students were sensitized on developing self-control, positive habits, and responsible decision- making skills to prevent risks.

The interaction focused on identifying peer pressure, resisting negative influences, social media role and confidently saying “No,” and using the STOP Strategy — Stop and think, think about consequences, find positive alternatives, and protect their choices — to strengthen mindful decision-making.

Students were also briefed about the NDPS Act, 1985, and the role of the Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau in preventing substance abuse at national and state level collaboration with schools.

Following the awareness sessions, a screening process was conducted to select two student representatives from each class for the Anti-Drug Prahari Club Committee. These students will serve as Anti-Drug Soldiers, promoting awareness, for the academic year 2026-27.
